I suspect a simple rename is not what you are proposing? Can you give more information as to why the blacklist isn't doing what it should be doing for you?

Hello, I'd like to add my +1 for this issue as seeing this language made me bristle a bit while configuring my install.

I can't speak for OP, but as far as I can tell theres nothing wrong with the feature as such -- the problem is that the words 'blacklist' and 'whitelist' have racist origins which contribute to making tech less inclusive.

There are dozens of resources availiable online to which explain the issue much more eloquintly than I can.
Here is one such resource that I like: https://inclusivenaming.org/word-lists/tier-1/whitelist/

I'd love to help out on this, would you be open to me submitting a PR which aliases allowlist->whitelist andd denylist->blackliist ?

abort -> terminate[d]
master -> main (this is currently used for the default branch & referenced in the README.md only)
